Winemaking

Owners Dee and Todd Krivoshein were customers of Page Cellars long before any conversations took place about purchasing a winery. As fans of big, concentrated flavors, they were drawn to the wines of the Red Mountain region. When it came time for Todd to take the reins of winemaking, he wanted to continue the traditions and build upon the direction set by the winery’s founder.

Red Mountain is the ideal Washington region for the wine style Page Cellars seeks to create, and Todd’s philosophy is to lean into what the area does best.  Nature blesses the AVA with abundant sun, heat, and a long growing season. The result is concentrated, complex fruit capable of producing powerful wines. In the cellar, the winery exclusively uses American oak to contribute depth and richness to complement the bold fruit. Most of the winery’s red wines see 24 to 30 months of oak aging and 12 months of bottle aging. This extended release schedule allows Todd the luxury of patience in winemaking.  His consistency in sourcing fruit is followed by consistency in methodology—no shortcuts are taken, giving the wines time to develop before they are opened and shared.
